Veeam B&R v9.5 what's new will be available along with the actual release. And it will not support vSphere 6.5 until Update 1 (simply because vSphere 6.5 is not released yet).

Just for everyone's Information. VMWare 6.5 has officially been released today (15/11/2016 - or for Americans 11/15/2016)
I know this doesn't mean that there will be a halt on 9.5 been fully released, but what kind of time table could be put on Update 1. No doubt work has already started on support for 6.5 and it is just a matter of making sure that VMWare haven't made too many changes at the end.
Andrew.

Andrew,
VMware actually did make many major changes but looking at our "track record" you will notice that we normally support the latest release within 2 months. So we will certainly be aiming at the exact same again to support the latest and greatest of VMware
Cheers

Jeff,
In all honesty, I wouldn't do it. Unless this changes in the next days / weeks it won't be supported and as we said, we will get that update out as soon as possible.
But that is just my 2 cents
Mike

vCenter has also had a number of major API changes, plus the final VCSA appliance code has not been validated by Veeam in full regressive testing yet (as it just became available), so I do advice against upgrading unless you're feeling adventurous.

Re: Veeam Backup 9.5 and vSphere 6.5 features & compatibilit
Hi all,
If I just deploy the VCenter appliance (VCSA) 6.5 while the other VM and VMFS is still on v5.58, am I still supported using Veeam 9.5 ?

Re: Veeam Backup 9.5 and vSphere 6.5 features & compatibilit
1. Upgraded Virtial Center 6.5 and part of the hosts, multiple virtual machines are now also compatible to 6.5 or higher.
Night copy of the previous version Veeam were normal.
2. After upgrading to 9.5 Veeam backup does not work, can not connect to the virtual center.
3. Apparently Veeam restore itself from the backup now and will wait for a new version.

Re: Veeam Backup 9.5 and vSphere 6.5 features & compatibilit
1. Remove the Veeam 9.5 from the server and all proxies.
2. Established Veeam 9.0 on the server, install the update.
3. Import configuration from backup.
4. After setting the components installed on all proxies.
5. I check that all works are backups.
Virtual Center 6.5, part of the hosts to 6.5, part 6.0. Several machines linux on 6.5 hosts (also compatible 6.5 or higher) has been successfully backed up.
I am waiting for update 1 to 9.5 for a new attempt.
P.S. Day disappeared...

Just because the backup runs without any problems doesn't mean that it's successful.
You can still have many problems when trying to restore...
