Veeam Cloud Connect and Performance

Post by Charbel »

Hey guys,

I recently began to perform some testing of Cloud Connect.
My environment at the moment is as follows:

Azure Cloud Connect VM (standard build)

Client A
Veeam Enterprise

- Production SAN - 1gb Eth
- Repository SAN - 10gb Eth
- Veean Backup Server - 10gb Eth
- Veeam Proxy - 10gb Eth
- Veeam Proxy Backup Mode - Direct SAN

Internet Conn - 50Mbps/50Mbps
Cloud Connect Upload Speed - 10mb/s

Client B
Veeam Enterprise

- Production SAN - 10gb Eth
- Repository SAN - 1gb Eth
- Veean Backup Server - 1gb Eth
- Veeam Proxy - 10gb Eth
- Veeam Proxy Backup Mode - Direct SAN

Internet Conn - 100Mbps/100Mbps
Cloud Connect Upload Speed - 18mb/s

WAN acceleration is currently not in use.
I just wanted to see what others out there are seeing in terms of performance speed writing to a cloud repository without wan acceleration.

Thanks, look forward to your feedback.

Can you please apply to the private VCP forum via the user management? I believe this discussion can better be addressed in the dedicate forum for service providers.

Thanks,
