Hello Folks,

Our Veeam DB is on another server.
The configuration of the Veeam is backedup to tape every day.

If the Veeam server crashes what are the steps to recover ?
If the DB of the Veeam crashes what are the steps to recover ?

What is the fastest way to perform Veeam server recovery from tape in case all the disk infrastructure is lost ?

Then the only way would be to install VBR server anew and perfrom full configuration restore.

If the Veeam server crashes what are the steps to recover ?

Install VBR server to another machine and connect to an existing database or redeploy configuration from the backup.

If the DB of the Veeam crashes what are the steps to recover ?

Please use VBR Configuration Restore Wizard.

What about the SQL database of Veeam ?

Is the configuration enough or we have to recover also the SQL DB which is stored on remote server ?

Configuration is enough, if no database exists on the target Veeam will create it automatically.

You can find information about exported settings here. Basically, that's all that is required to continue proper Veeam B&R operation after configuration restore.
