Veeam Content Pack for VMware vRealize Log Insight

Hello

I just want to confirm the compatibility of the Veeam Content pack with Log Insight 4.7.

Vmware Marketplace shows the following:

This content pack supports Log Insight 4.0 and later and requires Veeam Backup & Replication 9.0 and later.
Compatibility
vRealize Log Insight - 4.5.x
vRealize Log Insight - 4.0.x
vRealize Log Insight - 4.3.x

Has the information not been updated for the doc to show 4.5+ support?
Or is it not really supported for 4.7 of Log Insight

Hello there,

The content pack does work with 4.7 but the current version of the content pack has some issues. I am working on fixing it - today in fact. I hope to get it out soon. It looks like we may have issues with 4.7.1 - not with our content pack exactly but with the agents. I am exploring that with VMware support.

Don't hesitate to let us know what you think about the content pack and what it might be missing. I will try and get the update out to the market place as soon as I can. When I do that, I will also update some of the info around it.

Hello Michael,

Thanks for the reply and clarification! We're currently running LogInsight 4.7.1. Can you share what issues you're seeing with the LogInsight Agent pertaining to VEEAM?
We're exploring the benefits of VEEAM into loginsight.

Hello there,

The issue that has slowed me down, and that I am working with VMware on, is the failure of agent config info being pushed to agents. I have escalated it with VMware. In 4.7.1 they made some changes in agent management, and I think I am being hit by that. I have the content pack update done, but I need to test it some more, then push it out.

Hello again,

VMware and I have dealt with the issues, and now am testing and confirming - again - that everything works. So hopefully will have the CP pushed out soon.
