Hi,
from a security baseline directive we should activate Transparant Data Encryption (TDE) for a SQL db. So the Veeam VBR DB also needs to be set this way. This won't affect Veeam (besides the growth in size I suspect) or prevent it from functioning? I just want to be sure of that before activating,
thanks for any comment or suggestion,

Re: Veeam database and TDE
Hi Peter,
Since we use native SQL APIs for database interaction, then I don't foresee any issues with such setup. The only thing to keep in mind about TDE could be this one > Veeam Explorer for Microsoft SQL Server - TDE Inquiry
Thanks!

Re: Veeam database and TDE
Hi Vitaly,
thanks for the fast response. I will go ahead then activating TDE for the VBR database itself and keep in mind the explorer and certificates. Might this lead to trouble whatsoever I will let it know,
regards, Peter

This one is important and explains it directly. https://www.veeam.com/kb2006
If you have already backups and need the certificate you can use SureBackup (OnDemand labs) to export the certificate.
I would plan the export and think about wisely where you store this information needed at restore.
