Veeam Enterprise Manager 6

Post by carfra »

Hello,

I recently upgrade my Veeam Backup Server from v5 to v6 and also install Veeam Enterprise Manager 6.

Using Enterprise Manager 6, on the tab "FILES", on the "VM name" field I click on the "Browse" button to search a Virtual Machine, no ScrollBar appears (I have hundreds of virtual machines) so I can only see a few Virtual Machines, and if I try the search option, It show me some virtual machines that match to the search criteria sometimes, other doesn't show anything...

Is this a bug of the product, am I doing something wrong ?? ....

Thanks in advance

Frank, do you have guest OS file system indexing enabled for all your VMs? You cannot search the VM's files without having a valid backup of this VM with indexing enabled.

Hello Foggy,

I don't have guest OS file system indexing enabled on my VMs because I don't want to search VM's files, I want to search VM's to select one and then restore files.

The search of the VM's doesn't work well, this is the issue.

Hello Cokovic,

thank you for you clarification, only VMs that are backed up with guest file system indexing are visible.
