Veeam ESXi backup to Workstation

Can someone tell me if I can restore a ESXi veeam backup to a pc using VM Workstation ?

Damian,

VMware Workstation is not supported as destination target for VM restore, however you might want to restore your VM on NTFS drive (be aware that all disks will be converted to thick) and then use any converter to covert the restored VM to VMware Workstation format.

I am looking for a "mobile" solution to test backups for sites that only have 1 host. Any suggestions ?

Do you mean SureBackup jobs? If you want to verify your backups you should either use existing host or another standalone ESXi host with paid license.
