Veeam Explorer for Exchange

Post by tomas.olsen » 1 person likes this post

I just had to congratulate you on a great feature of 6.5. I just recently upgraded a customer to 6.5 and had to try Veeam Explorer for Exchange. This customer also has a datadomain as a repository and I must say the performance and easy restore was a blast!
The customer was impressed, I was impressed.
Since exchange backup in combination with dedup devices as a repository has proven to have bad performance and most often the surebackup jobs would never finish, this was a breath of fresh air!

Keep up the good work!

When will this be available for SQL and sharepoint?? :D

Hi Tomas,

Thank you for your kind words about VEX, our R&D team will love it! As to having the same functionality for SharePoint and SQL Server, then I've seen a couple of requests for implementing it for SharePoint, so this feature is already in our feature tracking system.

Thanks!

[MERGED] : Sharepoint - Granular Recovery

Post by nholman »

Hi all

Just wondering if there are plans or there is a way of Veeam having Granular restoring of sharepoint files without having to use a virtual lab? Not sure how Dell Appassure are currently doing theirs but they are touting sharepoint granular restore.

thanks

+1 SQL and Sharepoint!

The better SQL restore functionality is keeping a dozen of our SQL servers on Commvault to satisfy our DBA team.
