Veeam Hardened Linux Repository script - Non Ubuntu systems

Post by albertwt »

Hi Folks,

As I'm not a Linux expert, I wonder if the below script can also be successfully executed against another Linux distro such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9?

Code: Select all

I really appreciate any help you can provide on this subject.

Alas, no.

That's based on the DoD STIG for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

There is a STIG for RHEL 8, but not for RHEL 9.

The script would need completely rewriting to use dnf instead of apt, firewalld instead of ufw, etc.

But I too would love to see a bit more love for RHEL 9 (and derivatives) from the Veeam team and community.

I will add another vote +1 on the RHEL flavours.
