Hi guys,
Can I had for example a vcentre standard with 3 hosts but VMs just from one of these hosts are backed up? The reason is, this client just needs 1 production host and the other 2 are old hosts for replicated VMs or a VM running Veeam itself to store the backups.
if I backup VMs just from one host, would I need additional socket licenses just becuase I have these other 2 hosts added to vcenter?
Thanks!

Re: Veeam license question with vcentre but just one host ne
Hi mephisto,
Yes, you can add vcenter to the Veeam B&R and back up VMs of the one single host.
Source host sockets will be counted on the first job run and compared to the licensed sockets pool.
Also, you do not need additional licenses for the target hosts.
Please, see detailed information about Licensing.
