Veeam Replication question

Post by giladzzz »

Hi
I have VMware cluster version 7u1 with 2 storage's connected
1 storage is the main and the other I want to use for replicating VM's
if both storage's are connected to backup proxy server that holds backup
repository.
1)can Veeam use direct access to DataStore (san mode). on target DataStore.
2) replication is done from backup repository and retention is one.
how can I minimize snapshot consolidation at the end of each replication.
Thanks

Hi Zohar.

1. Yes, but only first(initial) Replication job cycle will use DirectSAN Access mode for write. Subsequent runs will utilize Virtual Appliance \ Network mode.
2. Snapshot consolidation is a virtualization platform task. Check its performance from that angle.

/Thanks!
