Hi all,
I am planning a DR strategy for a customer with Veeam B&R. From the recommendations in the forum, I believe having another Veeam instance in the DR to handle the replications from the source is the best method, by which we can initiate Failover/Failback in a complete primary site disaster situation.
But I cannot persuade the customer to buy more license to apply for the DR Veeam instance. In that case can I use the same licence applied for the primary in the DR instance for the replication jobs. End of the day DR veeam will be accessing the same Source ESXi servers and the VMs as the Primary Veeam B&R.
Thanks.

Re: Veeam Replication Strategy - Licensing
Yes, you can use the same license as only hosts you are backing up/replicating/migrating VMs on are licensed.

Furthermore, in case of failover, the existing licenses can be manually revoked from the host that is down.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
