I'm wondering if anyone can tell me why the storage usage for our backup repository doesn't seem to line up with my brain.
We have a single physical server, which has two folders created on it, to use as separate backup repos (Repo A on Server 1 = immutable for 10 days; Repo B on Server 1 = immutable for 30 days). The server (Server 1) has 36TB of total storage. Both repos are housed on the same storage.
Why are the numbers shown in "Backup Repositories" within Veeam showing as using 100% of the entire storage system, when the OS is stating it's only using 43%? I'm not sure this is just a misunderstanding of my own logic, or if I should open a Support ticket.
Yes we are using XFS on the system. Should I rely more on the OS-level command to confirm storage since it doesn't seem readily available from within Veeam?
I would look at Linux tools or commands to get the proper numbers for space usage. Veeam reporting is inaccurate regarding XFS/ReFS numbers within the Console, at least.
