Veeam Snapshot size

Post by asin@puleng.co.za »

Hi

According to best practise, is there a thumb suck to say how much free space should be available on a VMFS for the snapshot to be created?

Is it possile to redirect the snapshot to a reserved pool?

Yes, it is possible, please follow this link for the detailed instructions: Error after vSphere update (nevermind the title)

It's hard to estimate the VM snapshot size, however here is an existing topic that will give you a basic idea of how to calculate an average VM snapshot size: Space required for replication

Thanks!
