Veeam Upgrade to latest version with VMware 5.5

Hi,

We are currently running VMware with ESXi 5.5.0, 2403361 version and Veeam 8.0.0.917 version.

I would like to clear below 2 simple doubts,

1) Can we upgrade Veeam to latest version with the current VMware version (i.e. ESXi 5.5.0, 2403361), and be sure not to face any issues with our Backup/Replication jobs.

2) Can we upgrade to the latest version of VMware vSphere 6 as well, as we suppose that there are no critical issues with it at present.

1. Yes, you can safely upgrade to the latest Veeam B&R v8 update.
2. Make sure to upgrade Veeam B&R first, since build 8.0.0.917 build does not support vSphere 6, and install latest vSphere 6 updates that resolve all issues found so far (including this one).
