Veeam version 11 Replication from 7.0 to 6.0 not working

Hi,

We have Esxi 7.0, 6.0, 5.5. We are using Arcserve to do replication. But it is too slow.
So want to explore using Veeam. Download a trial version and try, Found that, replication from 7.0 to 6.0 not working.
Anyone know the reason? Thanks.

May I ask, is the error message something like "VM hardware version ** is not supported by destination host (version ****)?
Replication to a lower ESXI version is possible, if the Hardware Version of a virtual machine is accepted by the target host.
Your VMs must be Hardware Version 11 or lower to be replicated back to a ESXI 6.0 host:

Veeam version 11 Replication

For testing our product, I recommend to use the latest version 12. Version 11 is already 2 years old.

Sorry my previous information is not correct.
Our live environment is ESXi 7.0U2, hardware version is 19
Target replicate server is ESXi 6.0
What can we do?
Is it possible Veeam automate replicate and create a skin on target server with support version 11/12?

Hardware version 19 cannot run on an ESXi host. Therefore any replication attempt will fail.
Veeam cannot help here.

There are two options you can follow:
- downgrade the VM to hardware version 11
- update your ESXi 6.0 to ESXi 7.0U2

To downgrade a VM, you need to deregister it from your vCenter/ESXI host first. Then create a new VM with hardware version 11 and attach the same disks as before.
Please test the process first on a test VM. Also note, new backup chains will be created because the VM will have a new ID.
