Veeam Virtual Data Lab - VMware host minimum edition?

Post by PNSRMPL »

Hello,

Are there minimum VMware host edition for proper working with Veeam Data Labs ?

We planning very small system with 5-6 VMs and single (maybe two) VMware hosts so VMware Essentials with bundled vCenter Foundation are completely enough.
However we have strict requirements for compliance testing of patches/updates so Veeam Virtual Labs looks for as the best solution.
(regarding Veeam itself we looking to license Veeam Backup Essentials lub Availability Suite w modelu VUM)

Can you comment on VMware edition requirements ?

Hi Michal,

Overall, Veeam supports ESXi 5.5 - ESXi 6.7 U3.
For more info on VMware please check out our platform support page.

To be more specific, you can use any VMware host edition, except free. VMware Essentials is fine. Thanks!
