Hi guys, I have to migrate some VM from a really old ESX 4.0 (not ESXi)
I'm wondering if Veeam VM Migration can suffer from CBT corruption issues that many ESX(i) version had in the past, especially this one: https://www.veeam.com/kb1940
I still have to check what is the most recent Veeam B&R version that I can use with ESX 4.0
Thanks for any info!
Cheers,
Marco

Re: Veeam VM Migration - possible CBT issues?
Some more info: the source host is a VMware ESX 4.0 U1 - build 208167 released on 2009-11-19
Reading some Veeam B&R system requirements I should be able to use Veeam B&R 8.0 Update 3 to migrate from this really old host to a newer vSphere 6.0 U3
Any advice is welcome, cheers!

Neither ESXi 4.0 nor 6.0 are affected by the mentioned issue, so you're good to go. But to be on the safe side you can just reset CBT for this VM after migration.

Veeam Backup 8.0 Update 3 is supposed to work with VMware ESXi 6.0 U2 or U3? Any advice?
Thanks!
Thanks!
