veeam warning setvmcustomconfigoption failed
Hi all,
I install Veeam 9.5 u3 on a new infrastructure with VMware 6.7 (vcsa 6.7d, vsphere 6.7 EP03)
I use a dedicated account for backup but i have a warning on setvmcustomconfigoption.
I follow this procedure: https://www.veeam.com/veeam_backup_9_0_ ... ons_pg.pdf
But i can't find this 2 options:
-Virtual Machine/Change Configuration/Acquire configuration
-vCenter Inventory Service/vCenter Inventory Service Tagging/Assign virtual machine to resource pool
Can you think that's why i have this error?

Just to confirm - you've installed U3 or U3a? I'm wondering because the former does not support vSphere 6.7. Thanks!

But when i'm checking log files i see that i don't have the permissions on "Advanced options"
I check this option in vcenter role: Virtual Machine/Change Configuration and it's working....
So I think this two options are not available in vcenter 6.7 (i don't have any vcenter 6.5 to see i f i find it)

Thanks for the heads up. We will re-check and update the doc for the new version after U4 is out.

I will also open a case because even if i put every role described in the permissions pdf file i can't migrate to production an Instant VM recovered....
With admin right it's working but with my dedicated account i have a permission denied....i check logs etc...but it's not clear for me and i don't find the missing rights.

Sure, feel free to ask our engineers for assistance with this. Chances are something has changed in 6.7 and some right is missing in our document.

I know it's not officially supported as of yet. I did apply the temporary registry fix listed in the sticky to allow it to backup other VM's. Guess we'll wait for Update 4 to be able to fully backup vCSA 6.7U1.

Ok, that looks like a different issue then. Let's see what our support engineers will tell after reviewing the logs.
