Can I start a virtual lab router without a Veeam Surebackup Job, while preserving the virtual lab router configuration ?

Yes, you can. Virtual Lab router VM does not disappear when you stop your SureBackup and can be found in ESXi console. You can also make a replica or create a backup of running Virtual Lab router.
