Hey Guys
Just wondering if any of the American folk on here have tried out vmware cloud on AWS. I see veeam has some integration but wondering if you can use veeam to replicate to vmware cloud on aws.
Our site does not use NSX however so wondering if this is possible.
We should be getting this service in Australia some time this quarter so just reaching out to those who may already have it

Re: VMware Cloud on AWS
Hi Luke,
I cannot answer for using this with any aggression in a production environment or even a large test bed. Veeam 9.5 update 3 brought the support for VMware on AWS just before Christmas.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... tml?ver=95
A little more information on the features - https://www.veeam.com/kb2414
Hope that helps.

Re: VMware Cloud on AWS
Hey there Luke.
We do have supportability as of Backup & Replication 9.5 Update 3. One strong use case is replication from on-premises to VMC. Your site not using NSX shouldn't be a problem as you will just map the networks where one end will be standard port groups, and the other end NSX port groups in VMC. From our point of view we don't distinguish port groups as VXLAN or otherwise.
I'm keen to see this use case (and general VMC backup) be picked up when it launches here and also in Asia.
Thanks
