My question is about running two ESXi 5 clusters with different EVC modes. We are planning a hardware refresh and we would like to use a newer EVC in the production cluster, however, the DR cluster cannot accommodate this EVC mode. Does anyone know if our replicas at the DR site would be usable in this scenario?

Hi Matt, EVC (Enhanced VMotion Compatibility), just as the name implies, is only applicalble to VMotion. Since the replicas are cold started upon failover, the EVC mode does not matter. Thanks.
