I had several backup and replication jobs fail in the last month. Evidently, the snapshots were nor removed and now we are running out of space. I have searched and found that this is a common occurence. Some people have said they just deleted the snapshots. Other posts talk about the snapshots being commited. One of the snapshots is dated January 15th.
My question is how do I know that my snapshot was committed or not? Some of the VM's have more than one snapshot as well. How do I get out of this hole?

Re: VMware snapshots not removed on backup failure
Hi David, you can check that by looking at Snapshot Manager via vSphere Client and datastore itself. If you do not have any snapshot related files, then your all snapshots have been successfully committed.
You can search these forums for available solutions describing how to get rid of all snapshots at once. Thanks!
