vPowerNFS & NAT

Post by jjlethiers »

Hi all,
We are currently testing our new backup infra based on Veeam 9.5.
vPowerNFS is only enabled on the VBS server itself so that we have a single flow to be opened from ESXi hosts to this same server.
Problem is, there is NAT between ESXi and backup subnets. Thus, FLR fails as it is not able to mount the NFS datastore using VBS private IP.
Is there a way (registry key?) to specify the IP address provided to ESXi host to mount the NFS datastore?
Regards,
JJ

Hi Jean-Jacques, please contact technical support with this. There' a hotfix available for Veeam B&R v9.5 U2 that enables mount using all sever's addresses, instead of just a single resolved IP. Might help in your case.

Hi Foggy,
Thanks for the reply. As a workaround, private subnet has been routed to allow ESXi to VBS server communication.
Good to know that hotfix is available. Do you know if it will be part of U3 or B&R v10?
