Any news on releasing the 0DAY update to upgrade from RTM to the GA? Currenlty we are facing a bug VDDK error 2 which should be resolved in this update.

Glad to hear it! I hope this isn't a partnership so strong that it keeps you from continuing to add hypervisors :D . My views don't necessarily represent my employer but we have started to think of Veeam as the platform, hypervisor as an implementation detail. As we look toward public cloud for infrastructure, it becomes even less important one.

I too need the 0DAY RTM -> GA patch.

Gostev explicitly advised users of Update 4 RTM to either UNINSTALL (RTM) and install (GA) pointing to the same configuration DB.

OR
Alternatively, you can wait for Day 0 Update we will make available a few days after we go GA, this will do an in-place upgrade of your existing installation to the GA build.
It would therefore seem that in-place upgrading from RTM to GA is not supported. If I've learned anything, it's to listen to Gostev!

Please advise. Thank you!

It should be available this week. While obviously we already have the required code in GA branch already, it takes time to change builders infrastructure in order to be able to start creating patches for Update 4. Thank you for your patience!

Day 0 Update is now available!

https://www.veeam.com/kb2883

This is for users of RTM (before GA) to perform an in-place upgrade to GA.

Thank you!! :)
I have not done anything to learn if there's NOT any good reason to update to 6.7 U1, though, but it's been out for awhile, so hopefully it has no hidden surprises for me to learn about. :)

In my home lab I'm running HPE ESXi 6.7 U1 build 10302608 with VBR 9.5U4 and everything works just fine.

I noticed VMware has released Vcenter 6.7 Update 1b. 1b was released on 1/17, is it compatible with veeam 9.5 update 4?

ie U1 vs. U1b

Hi,

As far as I can see it's merely a cumulative patch which contains previously release hotfixes, so it should not present any compatibility issues.

Thanks!

If we applied the API fix to the registry, do we need to change that back before we upgrade or do we just leave it alone and the upgrade takes care of it?

thanks.

Since all possible questions about 6.7 U1 support have been answered on the last few pages, and some multiple times :) I think it's time to lock this thread. With 6.7 U1 now being officially supported with Update 4, please contact our support in case you have any issues. Thanks!
