vSphere 6.7 Update 3 support

Post by Drizzt »

Hi everyone!

I would like to know if Veeam officially supports vSphere 6.7u3 with Veeam 9.5u4b.

I updated my lab and everything seams to be running OK, but I don't want to upgrade production until I get a confirmation from Veeam.

Thank you!

We checked the early access versions of vSphere 6.7 Update 3 and did not found any issues with our Backup & Replication v9.5 Update 4b.

As the final code was not shared with us before general availability, we perform currently regression testing and will release a support statement in about 2 weeks.

Hi,

Is there already an update or at least a tendency that everything is okay? We are currently thinking about going to U3, and official support from Veeam would be very important to us.

@Gostev: according to KB2970 it is officially supported now but that article was modified on 15.08. - one of these two things seem unlikely.

I think you are looking at the statement for 6.5U3.

For 6.7U3 it states:

The official support will still require the full regression testing performed on the generally available (GA) build. This record will be updated with further information and the official support statement based on results.

It is fully supported by Veeam, but I suggest you don't rush: I just got a notification from one of our TAPs that they have multiple customers experiencing various issues after upgrading to 6.7 U3, including specifically with vSAN... trying to find out more, but figured I'd let you know!
