Hello gentlemen,
Unfortunately, we cannot share an exact date as the next cumulative patch for VBR is dependant on a few other major platform releases, but we are very close to having it.
Thanks

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
We can never announce the exact date of any release because we don't ship products based on calendar dates, but rather based on their readiness and the absence of major known issues. And since such issues can be discovered at any moment during the regression testing, this makes the release date completely unpredictable.
At this time, we do have the final Release Candidate (RC) build in QA, so barring any unexpected issues it should be shipped in the next few days. "Final RC" means there are no more known issues, and we're not planning to have new builds unless a stop-ship bug is found during the regression testing, in which case the regression testing will restart with the new build.
Thanks!

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
I noticed that the daily backup of the VMs got slower after updating VMWare to version 7U1, in fact, after updating it hadn’t become slower, it seems to me that after I updated Veeam also to the latest version, it took longer, I hope this update helps to normalize this too ...

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
There are no changes to the data processing engine in the update, only to the business logic (such as support for new API and virtual hardware versions). So I don't expect this update to change anything for you. However, I should also note that we did not observe any slow down following upgrade to 7.0 U1 in our own labs, so it must be specific to your environment.

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
So, I hope that it be something with the API/Hardware version, I was checking the veeam tasks logs and the problem started to happen after we updated the VMWare to 7U1 that updated our vms to the new virtual hardware version too, It doubled the backup time and the backup copy too
Let's wait and see how it works with this update. Tks

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
Looks like the file names are wrong:
VeeamBackup&Replication_10.0.1.4461_KB4050.zip
VeeamBackup&Replication_10.0.1.4461_KB4050.exe
.exe property details show the correct version of 10.0.1.4854 though
VeeamBackup&Replication_10.0.1.4461_KB4050.zip

.exe property details show the correct version of 10.0.1.4854 though

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
Thanks, they are named to our standard before upload, and looks like someone typed a wrong base build number. I've already asked to correct.
[EDIT] Fixed.

Our Customer Support manages this, I don't have access to this system unfortunately... trying to get it actually.
But you can report feedback directly to them, there are instructions at the bottom of each article.

Hi,
I am also interested when Veeam does support vSphere 7.0 U1. We have been waiting for a while now to start upgrading the ESX hosts

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
I've been following this for a while, but now I confess to being a tad confused.
According to: https://www.veeam.com/backup-replication-download.html
Release Notes are dated = August 04, 2020
Version = 10.0.1.4854
I believe this is the full version NOT including the latest cumulative patch?
Will this get updated at some point soon to include the latest patch, or will I always need to download this AND also the patch?

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
This date and the Release Notes are for the base 10a release. The ISO with the patch in question included will have 20201202 at the end (same as the patch itself), this is the only thing that will change from the Download area perspective.

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
Thanks Gostev,
I can see that now.
I started the download and can see the .ISO is named = VeeamBackup&Replication_10.0.1.4854_20200723.iso
So I can just wait for that to eventually get updated.
Cheers,
Steve

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
As always, new builds of supported versions are supported by default, since they only contain bug fix.
We don't specifically certify them because of how often they are released.

Re: vSphere 7.0 U1 Support
Are there install instructions for this latest patch somewhere? I clicked the kb article link, but...no "instructions". I'm wondering if we're going to have to update licensing and/or veeam for windows agents.
