Hello,
according to VMware the use of "vSphere first class disk" feature of VSphere 6.5/6.7 will make it possible to create snapshots of persistent disks attached to Kubernetes PODs hosted on VMware VMs. Is it planned to support backups of these disks?

Re: vSphere first class disk
Hello, currently there are no plans. As for any new capability, we like to evaluate the demand and value to the product before scheduling the implementation. Thanks!

Re: vSphere first class disk
So sadly it will not get implemented
Sometimes i feel no one wants to do backups with tools like Veeam of container based solutions.

Re: vSphere first class disk
In fact, customers do already use Veeam to backup the infrastructure VMs behind those container-based solutions, and are really looking forward to our upcoming NAS backup functionality to be able to protect other components of this solution (like image libraries).
