Hi,
We are a new customer to Veeam and I am planning on installing v9 backup and replication out of the gate. We are on vSphere 5.0 and have about 20 hosts. I have a project in the works to upgrade to vSphere 6.x. I wanted to poll the community to get some thoughts on if I should consider a vSphere upgrade to v6.x before I deploy Veeam 9 backup and replication. Are there any negative implications to getting started with Veeam v9 now on vSphere 5 and then upgrade to vSphere 6 in a few month after Veeam is in place?

Re: vSphere Ugrade to v6.x before Veeam installation
Hi Matthew, if you're planning an in-place upgrade of vSphere servers (specifically vCenter), so that all the objects preserve their ID's, you should not encounter any issues with you backups after migration.

Thank you for your reply. We are planning on an in-place upgrade for vCenter. I appreciate the feedback.
