I recently installed the vSphere web client plugin. When I tried to use it, it would display the error message:
Server error: Failed to collect Veeam backup summary information.
I checked everything:
- SSO was enabled
- Web Client version was 5.1.0 Build 1063329 (minimum is v5.1.0 build 880146 according to manual)
- User that installed the plugin has vSphere administrator rights, is a portal admin in enterprise manager (active directory)
- vCSA version 5.1.0.10000 Build 1065184
So now I have vCSA to 5.1.0.10200 Build 1235310 (which updates the web client to Version 5.1.0 Build 1115182) and a working plugin.
I did open a support case (#00433876) for this and closed it right after the update of vCSA, as it now works.
I just post this is if somebody else experiences a similar problem, it might help.
