WAN Accelerator ?

Post by samp76 »

Hey everyone...

I have a question about the WAN accelerator.

Scenario:
---Main office:
  • 4 node ESXi cluster
    DataDomain
Veeam Backup and Replication Server (main office backup proxy)
---Remote Office:
  • 2 node ESXi cluster
Virtual Veeam Proxy (residing on the 2 node cluster)
20M pipe between main office and remote office
Can we benefit from the WAN accelerator by a backup job via proxy to the DataDomain at the main office? Or does the remote job need to be a local (remote office) backup job and then run a copy job to the main office?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi Sam and welcome to the community!
WAN Accelerator works with backup copy and replication jobs. So you can backup locally and then copy backups to the remote office using Accelerator.
Thanks!
