When I launch a BCJ tasks that spread in 16 Jobs, only one of them is active.

Hi team,
I have an issue with a BCJ called "Backup Copy Job Oracle HVA a Alcala".

I launch it in a time frame that only this BCJ is running in the Backup Server and only this BCJ is also running alone in its Baclup Proxy (backup proxy host name= CTGHVAGWB0101).

This bakcup proxy is a physical server with 24 cores (hypertheading enabled) 48 logical procesors. Its CPU usage is 1% and memory usage 2%.

When I lauch the BCJ, I see that 16 jobs appear with running state, but just one of them is "Processing" and the remaining 15 are whith the status "Waiting for backup infraestructure resources availability".

Is that norma?, shouldn't have more than a Job with processing status?.

How many concurrent tasks do you have on the source Repository, and how many on the target repository? Most likely, there will be an issue. some more info here - https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110

Hi Jorge,

In the source end, the physical server is playing the role of Backup Proxy and Repository Server and is running just a BCJ that run 16 tasks. The Backup proxy is configured to 24 "Max concurrent task" since the server has 24 cores and the Repository Server has not limited the tasks .

In the target end, the configuration is identical, a Physical server with the role of Backup Proxy and Repository Server with the same configuration that in the source.

Seems all is good if both repos have not limits of concurrent tasks.

Hi, yes I am using wan accelertator.

Seem that if wan accelerator is uses, it is normal this behavior:

From Veeam Documentation:
Backup copy jobs process VMs in parallel only if you transport VM data over the direct data path. If you use WAN accelerators for backup copy jobs, VMs will be processed sequentially. For more information, see Data Transport Path.
