Why 25 restore points on disk when retention is set for 7?
I have a weekday backup job set up for 7 restore points, incremental, enable synthetic fulls.
Why is it creating a restore point every day and not removing any past 7 days?
Edit: It shows the last Full backup was done last month, then everything afterwards is incremental

Max, what are the scheduling settings for this job? Is it chained to run after another job by any chance? Seems like synthetic full is not performed.

It's set to run daily at 7pm. The only other thing is that I set up the "secondary target" to a continuous copy job.
I did notice that it's scheduled to run on week-days, but the synthetic full is scheduled on Saturday. Could that be the problem?

It should not, as synthetic full should be performed irrespective of the job schedule. At least this is how it used to be in v6.1 and v6.5.

Is there any way to force it run a synthetic full so I can consolidate all those rollbacks?

You can, probably, set a synthetic full for this day in the job setting and, then, run the job manually. Might do the trick. Thanks.
