Hi,
We have 1 ESXi Host with 2 Vm's inside it (400 Go each), nothing more. These VM do NOT include any SQL Database, so we will never have to use the Veeam SQL Explorer.
We have a second ESXi running only 1 VM, that will run Veeam backup and Replication Standard 9.5.
The following page states that : "SQL Express Server only uses 1GB Ram" :
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/backup/80/ ... ition.html
Considering that the SQL Server database will only contain a very few information (list of the backups and their dates), here is the questions : will this 1 GB RAM limitation on SQL Server slow down the backup process ? I think that Veeam B&R will uses all the RAM it can by itself. Am I right ?

Hi, correct. SQL Express is sufficient for processing up to 500 VMs.

Re: Will SQL Server Express 1GB Ram slow Backup process ?
Hi @Gostev,
Thank you for your clear answer.
I was right assuming that Veeam B&R will use all the available RAM on the system, and that the SQL Express 1GB limitation will not influence the speed of the Veeam B&R Backup process.
