Will V9 support Physical Machine?

Hello all,

I have heard from few of my colleagues that new version Veeam B&R V9 is also gonna support backing up Physical Machines too. Just wanted to confirm if is it for real. Thanks.

Hi,

No, Veeam Backup & Replication does not support physical machine backup.
If you want to perform physical backup then you can use Veeam Endpoint Backup FREE.

Hi PTide,

Thanks alot. Are their any plans to support Physical machine in new V9 version? I have heard such things that Veeam will support Physical machines in new version.

No, v9 is not going to support physical machine backup.

Rumors are not true indeed. There's the possibility to use a Veeam Backup Repository as a target for Endpoint backups, but this is already available in v8 starting Update 2.
