Hi everyone,
I have a windows 10 VM running on vCenter. I tried backing it up with "Application Aware" processing enabled but it failed with the following error:
"Failed to prepare guest for hot backup. Error: Cannot start service. Machine: [ip_address]. Service: [VeeamVssSupport]. Cannot start service. Win32 error: The dependency service or group failed to start. Code 1068".
I tried the same job without enabling "Application Aware" processing and it succeeded.
My question is: Does this error mean that "Application Aware" processing cannot work with a windows 10 VM?
Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated

This error means that application-aware processing did not succeed due to inability to start Veeam B&R run-time component on the guest OS. Please contact support for further troubleshooting.
