Windows Proxy server configuration

Post by stewsie »

Hi

The last time I added a new Windows proxy to our environment I had to check the following. This was probably when we were using v9

* Run diskpart

o Automount

o If Automount is enabled run

* Automount disable

* Run automount to check status

o Automount scrub

Is this still relevant as I cannot see any mention of this in the documentation for adding a proxy

I found the following in the v12 documentation

[For Microsoft Windows proxy] Before running a data protection task, Veeam Backup & Replication disables the volume automount feature, and it remains disabled after the data protection task is completed.

Thanks

You only need to worry about the System Requirements: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ckup-proxy
And also the Requirements and Limitations: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120

Just for the docs..... if you have Windows Datacenter than these steps are not needed because its default on this edition. You need these with Windows Server Standard or when abusing a Windows Desktop OS in the past.
