Case # 07404291 - issues with RMAN plug-in
The Oracle RMAN logs are written to /tmp. We would like to change where they are written to /var/log. Can this be modified? How? TIA.

Hi Martin,
You can try out this config parameter (/opt/veeam/VeeamPluginforOracleRMAN/veeam_common_config.xml):
Also, please keep in mind that our plug-in has one more parameter for user lock files (to prevent starting of multiple plug-in manager processes):
Bu this one does not work correctly in the current version, we'll fix it in future updates. Therefore, you will have plug-in lock files in /tmp/ anyway, even if you move logs to another location.
Thanks!
You can try out this config parameter (/opt/veeam/VeeamPluginforOracleRMAN/veeam_common_config.xml):
Code: Select all
<Config><PluginParameters logsDir="/var/log" /></Config>
Code: Select all
<Config><PluginParameters managerLockDir="" /></Config>
Thanks!

Does the job need to be disabled or just cycle the processes on the server?

Just wait for the backup job to complete. Once the next backup is triggered, the plug-in manager process will automatically restart and read the updated .xml file.
Thanks!
Thanks!
