Oracle RMAN LOGS Directory
Is there a way to customize the location where the logs are saved for the Veeam Plug-in for Oracle RMAN? Currently, the logs are stored in the default directory /tmp/veeam_plugin_logs. I’d like to save them elsewhere, but I’m unsure where to modify the log path. Is there a manual or link that explains how to configure the following files: veeam_config.xml, veeam_common_config.xml, and RMANParameters.xml?
The backups are running fine, but I really wanna change the directory where the logs are.

Hi Evandro,
Nope, there is no such a place, it's not something that most of our customers often use, thus, we don't document these parameters and share them upon request.
Thanks!

Re: Oracle RMAN LOGS Directory
Certainly you can make the configuration of log files storage in the Veeam Plug-in for Oracle RMAN according to the requirments. Of course, this involves modifying some configuration files.
veeam_config.xml: It is this file, that commonly, is used for setting up the Veeam Plug-in properties. Speak for files that are either an essential part of a log path or directory. It may contain a section with the option of choosing the destination of the log file here.
veeam_common_config.xml: Through this file, it distinctly specifies the common configurations that can be shared among different parts of the Veeam product. Check to see if it would be possible to customize log paths here as well by putting an option in this config file.
RMANParameters.xml: This file only covers the issue that emerge when using the Oracle RMAN utility. Check out the settings path where the working log exists or related to logging that are in this file.
Take a backup of these files before manually making any changes in order to avoid accidental deletion. When you've already got a specific set of variables, just apply the commands to move the log in the directory that you want.
