hello board,
I'm not missing any functionality, but I'm getting warnings during the veeam businessview update sessions:
What does it mean?
04.11.2013 13:08:58 [warning]: Approval for storage vcenter\datacenter\lun has failed
04.11.2013 13:09:11 [warning]: Approval for object vcenter\datacenter\cluster has failed
What account do you use to connect to vCenter Server? Do you write custom attributes back to the vCenter Server or you keep your collection jobs in read-only mode?
I can not open a support ticket - the support contract wasn't renewed. So, my only way to solve the problem is asking other users, what seems to be forbidden looking at the changed forum rules (posting logs and log snippets on technical issues) ... So, my only chance to get rid of the issue will be uninstalling Veeam ONE??? Why a community if it isn't allowed to share the knowledge?
Knowledge sharing is more than welcome on these community forums and we do appreciate when people update their topics with the resolution. You can ask for help from other community members, but usually the majority of the users (including myself) cannot read short log snippets, thus cannot assist with the issue. Here is an existing topic for more info on this > Why no support forum?.
The reason why I have asked you to open a support case is that I have discussed this issue with our dev team lead, and he explained that full debug message is required here and most likely the reason for this warning will be mentioned there.
real_tarantoga wrote:edit: vcenter 5.1 with "tags"
We do not support writing VM tags with our current version of Veeam ONE. This feature should be available in the next major release that is coming this fall. Can you please clarify how you tags with Veeam ONE right now?
I didn't say that Veeam Business View is tagging vCenter, we use tags AND custom attributes; but that's not the subject. I will find a way to fix it, it's only a question of time ... or one day the Enterprise will pay for a "renewal", so then I will be able to open a support ticket. You can close this thread.
