Just curious on the expected timeframe for ProxMox

Post by tgx »

I know recently announced at VeeamON and slightly known about before then but
was curious as to when we might see initial support. Also is there a beta group?

It is expected to GA in Q3 2024.

We don't have beta groups, all betas are private and by invite only (managed by regional Veeam pre-sales engineers).

Q3 is still the plan. We don't have a concept of set release dates. The products are released when they're ready for production use, as opposed to at a certain date and irrespective of their readiness/quality.

It will depend on the adoption of Proxmox by Veeam users.

Hello everyone

one Veeam Rep has mentioned the 13th of August as a release date for B&R 12.2 (with proxmox support). I attended a Global Partner Briefing on the 14th where 12.2 features were mentioned in detail.

We have timed the implementation of two customer projects for this date because of proxmox support from Veeam. Could anyone give an indication when 12.2 ready because we have to postpone this projects.

Thank you!!!

Hi everyone

I have to read more thoroughly! I just read in this topic that Q3 is still the plan so we will plan accordingly.

Thanks everyone!

Well he's not completely incorrect, just confused.... August 13th was the official "marketing readiness" date. It means that from this moment on, our marketing can make a new release generally available on the web site within 24 hours after our QA signs off the RTM build - as just technicalities remain such as uploading bits, switching the prepared new web pages from staging to prod etc.
