Re: Scale Computing Support?

I've literally just had CEO approve added R&D headcount for 2025 that I can use for this integration and we've started research & prototyping phase. The final decision to proceed and timelines will depend on the research results (mostly whether all required APIs are present and are adequate etc.) but from what I'm hearing from the team, Scale is very willing to work with us from this perspective. I will update here once we reach any significant milestones or decisions.

Hi,

We are Veeam resellers and will soon be reselling Scale Computing as well. Currently, only Acronis offers native support for Scale Computing. At the moment, we can only rely on Agent-based backup, which is not the most flexible or efficient solution. We do not want to be forced to switch to Acronis, as it’s not our preferred solution.

Do you have any roadmap for native support of Scale Computing? A timeline or estimated release date would be very helpful for us to plan our offerings and advise our clients accordingly.

Looking forward to your feedback!

Hi, all. We've completed the research and prototyping phase successfully with a working prototype and are now proceeding to forming a dedicated team to deliver this integration and to the V1 planning. I expect to be able to share estimated release timelines once we've completed these activities, approx. 2 months from now. Thank you for your interest.
