Socket to VUL License Proxmox

Hello all,

we come from VMWARE with a socket licensing bundle and migrated to Proxmox a year ago; Since migration we already migrated workloads into LXC Container and not into real VMs which seems to be a dealbreaker now when i need to change from socket to VUL license to be able to use entra ID int the same comsole as B&R.

anyone got experience with that? Local disti says since lxc backup might or might not come they wont count them.

If the question is whether you need VUL to protect Proxmox or Entra ID, then the answer is yes. Socket licensing does not exist for Proxmox.
