Feature Request: Quick backup for PVE

Post by WhatCouldBe » 2 people like this post

A little background:

My team is currently conducting a proof of concept to validate functionality of proxmox. One thing we have noticed that could be helped with the support of VEEAM is the lack of maturity of the proxmox snapshotting feature. Specifically when using an iscsi SAN, we are forced to use LVM which does not support snapshots.

As I looked around for alternative features that could replace snapshotting, I was made aware of the quick backup feature available for VMware vm backup jobs where you can go to Inventory (within Veeam B&R) > select your vmware cluster > select a specific vm. You will see the options to complete an incremental backup using the same backup job configuration that it is in already. However, this feature is currently unavailable for proxmox.

Could we get this added?
