Hi,
Any plan to integrate Veeam as done before with vCloud Director in Proxmox GUI , something like "Iframe plugin" + login?
Will be pretty helpfull to Proxmox sysadmin deploy veeam instead Proxmox PBS.
Regards

Re: Proxmox Plugin as vCloud?
Hi Manuel,
Are you primarily interested in providing a full admin access to VBR in Proxmox GUI via iframe, or an RBAC/self-service with restricted user scopes type of integration, similar to what we do with the VCD plug-in?
If it's the latter, then there are still some features that must be built into VBR before discussing that route:
1) VBR Advanced RBAC (coming in v13) must support Proxmox VE scopes (considered for one of the next major releases)
2) VBR Web UI (coming in v13) support for RBAC and custom roles (considered for one of the next major releases)
Once all necessary underlying components are implemented, it'll be a good time to discuss this feature request further.
With VCD, the existing integration and plug-in is built on top of Enterprise Manager self-service, while all future self-service and restricted access scope integrations are planned for VBR (and its Web UI).

Re: Proxmox Plugin as vCloud?
Hi,
As a service provider, we definitely need an integration similar to the vCloud plug-in, meaning RBAC capabilities. In our case, we have a dedicated Veeam server specifically for our Proxmox clusters.
The main functionalities we would require are:
Backup of VMs
Full VM restores
Disk / Single Disk Restores
(In the future) File-level restores
We currently use Pools and Groups in Proxmox to manage user memberships and their respective objects, so having RBAC that aligns with this setup would be very important for us.
We're really looking forward to these changes, as they will allow us to once again have a homogeneous ecosystem for our infrastructure and our customers.
I’m confident that other service providers will also greatly appreciate the possibility of having this direct integration
Best regards,
