Hi all
We use Veeam Backup for Azure for a handful of VMs. Some of them are Windows VMs, others are Linux VMs. If I want to do a filerestore for a windows VM, I am able to restore the files directly back to the VM/to the original place. If I want to do the same for a Linxu VM, i just have the option to Download the files to my workstation and after that upload it via winscp or similar back to the Linux VM. It's a quite cumbersome process and not really the "Veeam-way-of-doing-things" as I know it. Will there be an option to do direct restores of files in Azure Linux VMs as well in the future or how does that look like? I had to restore 30GB of data and it took a while ;-(
thx,
sandsturm

Re: DirectRestore for files of Linux VMs in Azure
Hi!
File-level recovery to the original location is supported only for Windows-based Azure VMs running Windows Server 2016 (or later) and Windows 10 (or later). Adding support for Linux VMs is on our roadmap, but I cannot provide an ETA at this time.
Could you share which Linux OS you use?
