# 00910967 VEEAM B&R 8.0 on Hyper-V 2012 R2 failed backup

Hi all,

I have opend this Case but no answer at this time,
i have the problem that my backups doesnt work. I have a new veeam installation 2 hosts of Windows Server 2012 R2 Update 1 with all updates. My veeam Server is in a VM Guest running Windows Server 2012 R2 Update 1 with all updates
and Backup & Replication 8 update 2. The backup target i will store my backups is on a QNAP NAS wich is connected to the veeam server per iSCSI (36TB).

When i start a backup i see in the Windows Hyper-V Manager status for the VM i will backup "Backup running...." and nothing changed...

I can manuel startet a checkpoint and after a few seconds its done. VSSAdmin tests all ok.

Have anyone a idea whats wrong here or have the same problem?

Hello Ralph,

There could be a number of reasons why backup is not working as expected, including Integration Services state, insufficient spcae on datastores etc.
The best way to find the issue is to investigate logs, and as far as I see support engineers have already started working with you. Unfortunately I can`t read it since it`s in German.
