Hello,
I have been trying to research this question however apparently my googling skills need some refinement!
I am currently planning our Veeam implementation in the following environment:
2 x Hyper-V hosts at the primary location. Each has 4 VMs (8 individual workloads total).
1 x Hyper-V host at a secondary location. 2 workloads total.
I am planning to add the following infrastructure:
1 x Server at the primary location.
This machine will be the local backup repository, I've read that it's best practice to keep this machine physical rather than run on a dedicated Hyper-V host. I would also like to make use of replica from backup.
1 x Hyper-V host at the secondary location.
This host will contain 1 x VM for the backup server and the remote backup repository.
My question is can I use the new Hyper-V host at the secondary location as a replication target and run VMs on there in a DR scenario? The existing host at the second location is unable to run all of the VMs in use at the primary location and I don't know if we have the budget to introduce another host.
Thanks for your help.
