Backup jobs and retention policy

Hi,

I have a customer who will have two AD servers, one file server and one SQL server all running as virtual machines on top on Windows 2016 Hyper-V cluster.

The Veeam server will be Windows 2016 as well and backup type will be shot-term backup on storage.

Now the customer asks for below retention policies:

Daily – Inc – retention 7days
Weekly – full – retention 2 weeks
Monthly – full – retention 3 months

My question if this is possible or not and if possible what re the jobs settings I need to create?

Hi Ahmad, for this type of retention you need to use backup copy jobs. Thanks.
