DR Migration

Post by Sitkan »

I am looking for a solution to the following. I am setting up a DR site. The connection speed to the DR site is slow. I have a hyper-v cluster in location 1 and a stand alone host in location 2. I have a spare SAN that is in location 1, that I would like to put the data on then take it to location 2 and sync the jobs. Of course I will need to do the fail over to test and make sure things are going to work, then fail back to the original. For the fail over I will be using the same subnets ( I already have the routing configured). What would be the best practice here and things to watch out for.

Thanks

Create a seed on a given SAN, take it to secondary location, and get the seed from a repository. Thanks.
